I have what is known as Chiari Malformation, a serious and chronic brain condition in which my brain is to big to fit inside my skull and has been pushed through the bottom of it into my spinal chord.
There’s a picture if it helps. If you’ve been following for any length of time, you’ve probably heard me complain about the headaches and joint pain and sometimes nausea that it causes me.
But I’m not here to talk about pain. I’m here to talk to you about how you can help.
On the Conquer Chiari website, they have set a goal to “walk across America” in the name of Chiari and finding a cure.
If you go to this link, you will be able to see if a walk is being held near you already. If there is not a walk where you are, you can go to this link, and find all the information for starting a walk in your town.
If you can’t start a walk, please fundraise or spread the word to your friends and family by reblogging this or even putting it on your facebook page.
It would really help and mean a lot to me and everyone else who suffers from Chiari Malformation. Even one dollar can help.
